NHL.com has since the beginning of June been ranking the top 30 first-round draft picks since the inception of the amateur entry draft began in 1963.
Two former Winnipeg Jets picks have made the cut placing Keith Tkachuck at the best pick for the 19th overall selection and a no-brainer with Teemu Selanne picking up the number 10 spot all-time.
I wonder if head coaches were selected (with Scotty Bowman, Toe Blake and Punch Imlach being the top three all-time, no doubt) where would former Jets bench bosses would rank? After all, Tom Watt and Bob Murdoch did receive the Jack Adams award (who would also be in the top five) for the league's best coach in 1982 and 1990 respectively. And of course former Jet, Paul MacLean winning this year with his great work with the Ottawa Senators.
