Well it finally happened. The Jets finally put a W in the win column. And they did it at home which made it extra special for the fans waiting for the win since Oct. 9.
The Jets scored eight seconds in on a goal by Kyle Wellwood on a rush with Alexander Burmistrov and Nik Antropov after Antropov won the opening face-off. The goal tied a franchise record for fastest goal from the start of a game.
Ondrej Pavelec was a standout for the Jets as he had to stand on his head several times to thwart the determined Penguins. In fact, he should have had a shut-out as he was bumped the when the Pens notched their only goal. Tanner Glass also scored for the Jets.
But, a win is a win is a win and I'll take it-and the two points.
