It'll Never Happen, But...

Teemu Selanne, a future Hall-of-Famer and a bonafide Winnipeg sports icon is deciding whether to return to the NHL at 41 years of age.  The question is not can he, but does he want to?  Another question is, if he does decide to return, who would it be with?  Well, of course he wants to come back.  He also doesn't have to worry about whether or not he can still perform because he is still putting up more numbers that players hlf his age.  That's not the real question.  As stated, it's where will he want to play?  Before you get your stitches in a twist and think I'm going to make an impossible case for the Winnipeg Jets, hold on a second.

Selanne has stated on numerous occasions that the only team he will play for upon his return to the NHL is the Anaheim Ducks.  He's been their for most of his career, he won his first and only Stanley Cup with Anaheim and he will go into the Hockey Hall of Fame as a Duck.  As unfortunate for Winnipeg hockey fans as that is, it's a done deal.

Teemu Selanne will not play for the Winnipeg Jets!

But, just for kicks, Matt Guerin from SB Nation says Selanne has opened his mind for possibly one final run where his career all started.  It's just an interesting article.  He's not coming back folks.
