In an easy lopsided victory for the Winnipeg Jets over the Florida Panthers, 7-2 tonight, the Jets have their 21st victory of the season with 44 points. Unfortunately, while the Jets have 44 points along with the New York Rangers, the Broadway Blueshirts officially maintain the eighth and final playoff spot in the NHL's Eastern Conference due to two fewer games played.
Aaron Gagnon scored his second NHL goal in as many games and Evander Kane scored his 16th of the season to help along the Jets win. Ondrej Pavelec won his 17th of the season, making 25 saves.
