With General Manager Kevin Cheveldayoff locking in the core of a young Winnipeg Jets team for at least the next three years (Blake Wheeler, Bryan Little and Zach Bogosian just signing for five, six and seven years respectively for a total of $93.1 million) and with prospects Mark Scheifele and Jacob Trouba expected to contribute this upcoming season, the hope around the Jets brass is this young core of players can take the team to the 2014 NHL playoffs in search of Stanley Cup glory.
Cheveldayoff sat down with the the CP's Stephen Whyno to discuss his plans of building a young team.
