The Alexander Burmistrov soap opera with the Winnipeg Jets is over. Burmistrov has chosen to sign a two-year deal with Ak Bars Kazan hockey club of the Russian Kontinental Hockey League.
The Jets still own his NHL rights and will monitor his development in the KHL, should he choose to return to the National Hockey League.
The Jets issued a statement regarding Burmistrov's departure.
