Jets Back in "L" Column after Loss to Champs; Pardy Gets Helmet Lifted by Fan

The defending Stanley Cup champions repeated their game-plan tonight as they were able to more than double up on the Winnipeg Jets 4-1 in a game dominated by the Black Hawks since the last two minutes of the first period.  The Jets are last in the Central division and are already fading fast.  There may be no need for panic, but if they don't solve their little early-season slide, they'll be looking at the tail-end of even the woeful Dallas Stars most of the season.  Although their opponent tonight was the Chicago Black Hawks and they do own the Grail until they don't, the Jets need a shake-up.

The Hawks have outscored the Jets in their last two games, 9-2 and have shown them why they haven't made the post-season in six seasons and why the Hawks are the champs.

Also, to add insult to injury; during the third period, Jets defenceman Adam Pardy was taken out of the play by the Blackhawks Brandon Bollig in the corner behind the Jets net and sent Pardy head-first through the glass.  While being helplessly pinned up against the boards, a Chicago fan stripped Pardy of his helmet and place it on his own head, while another spectator poured a beer over his head.
