Jets Let Down Pavelec

Ondjre Pavelec did everything he possibly could by standing on his head throughout the game, especially the third period as his team was out shot 18-6, on his way to a 50-save performance. But his team mates let a late 4-3 lead disappear with 10 seconds left in regulation and JaromirJagr gave the Flyers a 5-4 win over the Winnipeg Jets.

With a win by New Jersey over Toronto and the Florida Panthers idle, the Jets blew a glorious chance to grab first place in the North-East division which would have given them third seed in the Eastern conference. At worst, they screwed the pooch for the eighth and final playoff spot in the East.
