Winnipeg's scoring drought continues and Carey Price continues to shut the door as he recorded his second shutout of the season against the Jets as they lost to the hometown Canadiens 3-0.
The Jets have only been able to score six goals in their last six games. If they wish to surpass the other teams vying for the last playoff spots, they'll either have to really turn it on and start crashing the net (which they don't do nearly enough of) or Kevin Cheveldayoff will have to pull the trigger on a trade for more offensive punch. The problem is, who would another team want in exchange for that punch? You certainly don't want to give up a talented, young defenceman such as Bogosian or Bufuglien who are also fan favourites; but what do you give up in return? Draft picks could be the answer, but then you're throwing a wrench in the works of building your team through the draft and free agency the way True North have said they want to.
One thing is for sure, the Jets better start producing or they might as well make those summer holiday plans now.
