The Winnipeg Jets were back on the work-horse train last night as they tempered one of the most offensive teams in the NHL to just one goal, as they defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-1 after a late goal by Bryan Little. Eric Tangradi opened the scoring with his first goal as a Jet.
The Jets went back to the work ethic that had them come away with four wins out of five games on their last road trip through the Eastern Conference. Goaltender Al Montoya got the start after 10 straight starts by Ondrej Pavelec, and was strong in net, almost recording his second shutout of the season. Montoya looked very confident in goal and made some very big saves when called upon. He was patient and poised and his lateral movement was spectacular. He bounced right up after making first shot saves and was solid all night long.
