Defenseman Jim Slater has an upper-body injury, believed to be his hand suffered blocking a shot during the game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He is listed as week-to-week and according to Coach Claude Noel, he will out for "a while." The Jets have called up Patrice Cormier from the American Hockey League as a replacement.
The Jets have also re-called goaltender Eddie Pasquale from the IceCaps for what they are calling a "precautionary measure," as Al Montoya re-aggravated a "previous ailment," said Noel.
